Size Guide

KARIS STUDIO · A CONSIDERED FIT

A little measuring makes all the difference. Find your ring size, choose a comfortable bracelet length and preview where your necklace will sit.

Start with the dimensions and options on your chosen product. These charts are general references, not a list of sizes available for every piece. All illustrations are not to scale.

01 · RINGS

Find your everyday fit.

Instructional illustration of a ring lying flat, showing measurement across its empty interior from inner edge to inner edge.
Instructional illustration only. Not to scale; do not measure from your screen.

Measure a ring you already love

  1. Choose a ring that fits the same finger on the same hand comfortably.
  2. Lay it flat. With a millimeter ruler or caliper, measure straight across the widest part of its empty inside opening, from inner edge to inner edge. Do not include the metal band.
  3. Compare that inside diameter with the chart below. A professional ring sizer is the most reliable choice if you are unsure or between sizes.
Comfort matters. A ring should slide over your knuckle and sit securely without discomfort. Finger size can vary with temperature and time of day. Wide bands and stacks can feel tighter. String or paper wrapped around a finger can give an inaccurate estimate; ask a jeweler if the result is uncertain.
US ring sizes · approximate reference measurements
US size Inside diameter (mm) Inside circumference (mm)
4 14.9 46.8
4.5 15.3 48.1
5 15.7 49.3
5.5 16.1 50.6
6 16.5 51.8
6.5 16.9 53.1
7 17.3 54.3
7.5 17.7 55.6
8 18.1 56.9
8.5 18.5 58.1
9 19.0 59.7
9.5 19.4 60.9
10 19.8 62.2

Rounded reference values from GIA. Small differences between sizing charts and suppliers are normal. Select only the US size actually offered on the product page. This guide does not imply a ring can be resized; stone-set and eternity styles may not be suitable for resizing.

02 · BRACELETS

A little room to move.

Instructional illustration of a flexible measuring tape wrapped gently around an adult wrist below the wrist bone.
Instructional illustration only. Not to scale; do not measure from your screen.

Measure your wrist, then choose your fit

  1. Wrap a soft measuring tape around your wrist just below the wrist bone. Keep it snug, not tight. Record your wrist circumference.
  2. For a flexible chain or tennis bracelet, adding about 1.3 cm (½ in) is a useful starting point for a little room. Personal preference, link thickness and charms affect the fit.
  3. Compare with a bracelet you already find comfortable. Lay it straight and measure its finished wearable length, including the clasp. Check the selected product's actual length and any extender separately.
Wrist measurement is not bracelet length. A 17 cm wrist does not automatically mean a 17 cm bracelet will fit. For a rigid bangle, compare its inside diameter with a bangle that passes over your hand. For an open cuff, check the inner dimensions and opening; do not force or repeatedly bend it.
Finished bracelet length · conversion reference
Centimeters Approximate inches
16 cm 6.30 in
16.5 cm 6.50 in
17 cm 6.69 in
18 cm 7.09 in
19 cm 7.48 in
20 cm 7.87 in

Exact unit references: 6.5 in = 16.51 cm; 7 in = 17.78 cm; 7.5 in = 19.05 cm. Metric supplier sizes are not exact inch sizes: 18 cm is approximately 7.09 in, not exactly 7 in. When a product's nominal size name and measured chart differ, follow that product's own sizing note.

03 · NECKLACES

Choose where it falls.

Instructional illustration of an adult previewing a full necklace loop with a measuring cord over a crewneck top.
Instructional illustration only. Not to scale; do not measure from your screen.

Preview the full loop

  1. Drape a soft tape or non-stretch cord around the back of your neck, over your clothing. Bring the ends together where you would like the necklace to fall.
  2. Mark that meeting point, then lay the cord flat and measure the entire loop length. Do not use only the vertical distance from your neck to the pendant.
  3. Compare with the product's chain length. Check whether the listing describes a fixed length, an adjustable range, or a base chain plus extender. For lariats, check the drop length separately.
Common necklace lengths · general styling reference
Chain length Equivalent centimeters Typical styling
14 in 35.56 cm Close to the neck
16 in 40.64 cm Short / collarbone area
18 in 45.72 cm Everyday / below collarbone
20 in 50.80 cm Longer upper-chest drape
22 in 55.88 cm Longer layering length
24 in 60.96 cm Longer layering length
The same length wears differently on everyone. Neck size, height, body proportions, clothing, pendant weight and chain thickness affect where a piece sits. Use the illustration to understand the measuring method, not to predict an exact wearing position.

1 inch = 2.54 centimeters. A listed 40 cm chain is approximately 15.75 in; a listed 45 cm chain is approximately 17.72 in. Rounded styling names do not change the actual length of your selected variant.

A few helpful details.

What if I am between ring sizes?

Try a professional ring sizer or have a jeweler measure a comfortable ring worn on the same finger. Check knuckle clearance and band width. Do not select an unavailable half size or assume a particular ring can be resized.

Does an adjustable style fit every wrist or finger?

No. Adjustable pieces still have a practical fit range. Check the product's own dimensions and adjustment advice, and do not force the metal beyond its intended range.

Should I include the clasp and extender?

For a finished-length comparison, measure a fastened wearable length including the clasp. Only add an extender where the product description confirms it. If the source describes nominal chain length differently, follow the specific product note.

Can I measure against these images on my screen?

No. The images are instructional and not to scale. Use a physical ruler, soft tape, caliper or professional ring sizer. Screen sizes and zoom change how an image appears.
